CSIRO Merbein Research Station- celebrating the 90 year history
Tuesday, 28 July 2009
CSIRO's Merbein laboratory in Victoria, is soon to close its doors.
The Merbein laboratory, located 15 kilometres from Mildura in the north west of Victoria, was established in 1919 and has a history of successful research for Australian horticulture, from improving grape and citrus varieties through conventional breeding, management and biotechnology to successful collaborations with other organisations and post graduate training.
To celebrate the 90 year history and achievements of the CSIRO Merbein Research Station, they will be opening their doors, one last time, to the general public and will have on display some of the achievements as part of the Merbein centenary celebrations.

If you are still in contact with anyone who may be interested in visiting the site, please forward this invitation on to them. Details are as follows:
Date: August 18th - 20th
Time: 2:00pm to 5:00pm
