Watch CSIRO Chief Executive Dr Megan Clark's address to The National Press Club, Canberra (30 September 2009).
Dr Clark talks about science and its role in securing the future in an increasingly interconnected world. She speaks about what the latest predictions on climate change are telling us about Australia’s future, the science that is now underpinning the future of the world’s food supply, research aimed at managing national biosecurity threats and how our national science agency, the CSIRO, is working more generally to address the challenges that face us and in so doing, helping to secure Australia’s future.
The talk was aired on ABC TV at 12.30am on 30 September and again at 3.25am on 1 October 2009.
