Vale Jan van Someren Graver

It is with great sadness that we advise of the passing away of Jan van Someren Graver, Honorary Fellow at CSIRO Entomology and long time member of the CSIRO Entomology Division.
Jan had a brief stay in Canberra hospital and died this morning, 20 November 09, of a brain tumour that progressed rapidly without hope of treatment.
He will be remembered for his unique friendship and enthusiasm and his continued interest and support for so many projects worldwide.
His widow, Sandra, has asked for no visits or condolences at this time. A memorial service will be arranged in due course and details of his memorial service will be posted on AxON when known.
We have set up a Tribute page in honour of Jan and invite friends and colleagues to post tributes which we will forward to Jan's family.
